Lab Information The computer lab at Koblerville Elementary School is a LAN run off a IBM 386. The individual machines used by the students are IBM 286's with 1MB of RAM and no hard drives. While this does limit our software choices, the lab does provide the opportunity for every student in a class to use a computer without having to share time. The lab is utilized by all of the classes here at Koblerville, K - 6, on a rotating schedule. |
Professional Information I graduated in 1986 from Western Washington University with a degree in Recreation and Parks. I spent the next decade working with kids at several park departments and YMCA's. After deciding it was time for a career change I returned to school and acquired a Masters in Teaching from City University along with endorsements in Elementary Education, Mathematics, and Computer Science. I came to Saipan in the fall of 1996. |

In addition to the computer lab, Koblerville also has a growing number of more modern computers in the classrooms. While the computers in the lab are older IBM machines, the classroom computers are all various Macintosh models. We are working towards a goal of having at least five modern computers in every classroom. The school also has on order the equipment necessary to have internet connections available for every classroom. Along with the hardware, Koblerville has created a library of over fifty titles of resource materials to assist the staff with integrating technology and furthering their own education. The school also has over 100 different pieces of software available for classroom use.
