(Preparing Tomorrow’s Teachers To Use Technology Seminar)  

This seminar was made possible by a federal grant from the U.S. Department of Education and conducted by the Northern Marianas College's School of Education preparing future teachers (teachers in training) to use specific technologies in the classroom.

NMC targeted existing classroom teachers (mentoring teachers) from both the private and public schools to attend workshops to enlighten and enhance their existing computer skills. Mentoring teachers upon completion of PT3 training will then share and facilitate this knowledge with future teachers (teachers in training) that may be working as aides or student teachers at a mentoring teacher's school.

Each school that participated was given the following software/hardware and instruction at three specific workshops on its optimal use and application in the classroom:

Digital Scanner

Adobe PhotoShop Software

HyperStudio Software

Macromedia Fireworks Software

NetObjects Fusion Software
