Tod and I first met in May of  1997. I had just  come back from one of my trips to Thailand while I was on break from school. I had been living by myself  in the jungle on the windward side of the island. Tod was working in the garment  industry as were many Thai's. I had been speaking Thai and was quite familiar with Thailand so I found a  common friend in the Thai people on this island . I often had parties or what was really food fest's at my house  on weekends or whenever some of the Thai workers could get off to come up. I usually picked them up...8 or 10 at a time...many times I did not know half of them but my house and garden was always open for the Thai people as is my heart. It was then at one of my  get togethers that Tod had come over. I spotted her right away as someone who was really cute and miss personality of the group. So naturally I had to give her a hard time. Well, we  got along well that night and by the next time she  had come over she stayed the night in my extra room with her friends and we  relaxed at the house and in my garden the next day. I knew I was already in the pursuit. The following day or two. I had no vehicle and was back to riding my mountain bike around. From my jungle house downhill to school and then out to the gym and back the long way to home. At least 10miles a day. I made it a point to stop at the store across from the factory where Tod worked so I could catch everyone getting off for break or at the end of the day shift which was usually about 8pm at night. Tod came out and was talking to me....all smiles of course..I asked her if she wanted to go to my house on  the back of my bike....she'd have to sit on the bike rack. I was surprised when she said yes...so off we went....all uphill... I thought she was crazy.. and so was I to ride her uphill....this is the first time she would be coming with me alone. We got up the first hill and a dog came running out to bite us and Tod kicked her leg at the same time I was trying to kick the dog away and the next thing I knew Tod was flying off the back of the bike face first with her hands spread out like she was flying...she just slid right down the road in front of me...I felt so incredibly sorry and stupid....and of course I was laughing too...but in all I figured we were close to the factory so I asked her if she wanted to just go back because she was a little hurt. She said no...and we proceeded. We got around the next little down hill and I had to go onto the grassy shoulder to prevent from a traffic hazard and of course I slammed into a rock or something that bottomed out Tods butt on the bike rack so hard I had to stop....I took off my shirt after I was laughing so hard..we both were...kind of....and folded up my shirt for her to sit on....then it started to pour rain...we finally made it up to my house and took showers...separately...and ate....did a little TV and passed out from the ride. The next day I had to get up early to ride her back to work,,,,We did that a number of times until I bought a scooter...then a car...then our van. Well from that day on we kept having adventure after adventure and we continue to amaze each other with the crazy things  we laugh at. We share every endeavor together and its to no wonder why after two years of seeing each other nearly everyday. We got married on July 24th 1999....well there's much more but we thought you might enjoy that little story of how we bonded  during that night leading us down the road of holy matrimony.
