A long time ago, the '80's I believe, the musings of a young lad turned into a career. It's
hard to image doodling leading to anything productive, but it was things like the bunny above
that lead me into a career in television & cable, and eventually to a small island called Saipan.
With that said I would like to post a brief honor site to those first steps. I'm sorry to say
some of the best stuff to post is stuck in a box half-way around the world, so some of the upcoming
stories will have to come from memory. And to my former classmates and friends who happen to
stumble across this page, I would like to say-this one's for you folks. Without your help and
efforts I wouldn't have made it this far. Thanks and take care-Greg.

(1986)It really all begun with a cartoon take-off of Miami Vice. I had been scribbing a makeshift comic using my friends as the characters from the show. Then one day someone said I should make a tv show out of it. I first shrugged it off, but then I asked the women who was in charge of the school's video equipment for permission to shoot after school. To my surprise, she said yes. Over the next year we produced 3 episodes and a couple of shorts that really pointed into the direction of television. I'll post the whole story here after bit to give it its due. |
(1988)Gorka was one of the "shorts" we did in addition to the main Dresen Vice series. A takeoff and tribute to Godzilla, one of my favorite movie series, we decided our version would stick to form. So we built a pretty cheesy set of Japan-matchbox cars included-and promptly burn it to the ground in our high school chem lab. Gorka taught some interesting lessons on filming and most importantly the "one take method." Look for more of this story in the near future. | ![]() |
