The Books

Here's the book that started it All! Released in 1989, TEKWAR by William Shatner created a new science fiction hero, Jake Cardigan. Seemingly modeled after the author, this buff ex-cop in is 50s now battles TEK Lords and his own former addiction to TEK. "TEKWAR" became a national bestseller and was a pretty good read. Much like the classic detective novels, the TEK books stick pretty much to formula, but present a very richly detailed world. I found them entertaining and not hard to digest like any three pages of "Clancy." There are nine books altogther, including TEK NET which was released in the fall of 97.
